ILLINOIS SNAP (food stamp) PROGRAM
If you are single, working or unemployed, and your monthly income does not exceed $1,174, then you qualify for $200 a month in food stamps and you also qualify for food assistance and other services at a food pantry as well.
The monthly income limit is $1,805 if you are 60 & over or you are disabled.
A family of 5 qualifies for up to $793 in food stamps plus food pantry assistance even if their household income is $2,794 a month.
When you qualify, you will get a debit card that you can use to purchase food at any supermarket and you will also be able to get additional food at a food pantry.
